Ultrasonic displacement sensor is a kind of mechanical wave whose vibration frequency is higher than that of acoustic wave. The transducer vibrates under the excitation of voltage and is developed by using the characteristics of ultrasonic wave. It has the characteristics of high frequency, short wavelength, small diffraction phenomenon, especially good directionality, can become a ray and directional propagation. Ultrasonic displacement sensor ranging generally adopts the Time of Flight (TOF) method. The distance between ultrasonic displacement sensor and obstacle is S=vt/2. According to the principle of the time of flight between the transmission and reception of the ultrasonic wave, non-contact non-wear detection is carried out on the detected objects using the acoustic medium, and the transparent or colored objects, metal or non-metallic objects, solid, liquid and powdery substances can be detected. The detection performance is not affected by the color, material and transparency of the workpiece, including smoke environment and rainy day. Can be widely used in the level (liquid level) monitoring, robot collision prevention, various ultrasonic proximity switches, and anti-theft alarm and other related fields, reliable work, convenient installation, waterproof type, small launch Angle, high sensitivity, convenient to connect with industrial display instrument.

Overview

MIRAN MCSB ultrasonic distance sensor is a kind of mechanical wave whose vibration frequency is higher than that of sound wave.It’s development depends on the theory that the transducer crystals chip vibrates under the excitation of voltage and then combine with the characteristics of ultrasonic wave. It has the characteristics of high frequency, short wavelength, small diffraction phenomenon, especially good directivity, and be the directional propagation of radiation.

Installation

Firstly, the sensor is electrified, and the red and yellow lights behind the sensor will light up.

Yellow light means: yellow light is unchanged, the object is within the measurement range; Blinking yellow light ,Set object detected in the set function state.

Red light means : red light is always on, power is on; long dark, error red light flashing ,No object detected in the set  function state.

 

 

This sensor has two analog output modes (rise and fall modes) as shown below:

A: Setting the farthest distance P2:

 

1. Place a test object where you want to set the distance.

2. Pry the gray line (adjustment line) and the brown line (power supply) together , during this time if the measured object is captured, the yellow light will always flash. After this state lasts for four to five seconds, please removed the gray line. The setting is successful.

 

B Set the nearest distance P1:

1. Place a test object where you want to set the distance.

2, please tie the gray line (adjustment line) and the blue line (power supply negative) together. during this time, if the measured object is captured, the yellow light will always flash. After this state lasts for four to five seconds, pls removed the white line. The setting is successful.

 

Note:

The yellow light and the red light may flash together during the setting process, indicating that the sensor does not accurately capture the measured object. Need us to move the sensor slightly to align the measured object.Until the yellow light flashes continuously. (Please noted that this setting process must be completed within 3 minutes, otherwise the sensor will be locked. If the sensor is locked ,you need to disconnect the power supply and re-power. Then reset it).  

 

Analog output mode/specific adjustment method

The sensor has two output modes of analog quantity (ascending and descending modes) as shown in the following figure:

Notes

 

1. Since the ultrasonic sensor is directional, it is important to pay attention to its mounting position. It is recommended that it should be straight between the installation position and the tested object. In this situation the measurement data will be more accurate.(with mounting nut)

2. The sensor is a precision instrument. Do not scratch the surface.

3. When using the sensor, please make sure about the power supply and ripple voltage.

4. When using the sensor, there must be no strong mechanical vibration, and the working environment should not have strong electromagnetic interference.

5. The sensor cannot be used in the vacuum zone or in the explosion-proof zone. 

6. please don not use the sensor near by the water, steam, acid, solvents which is above 50℃。

7. The sensor shall not be dismantled without permission, and the company will not bear any consequences if it is damaged by private disassembly.
