The vibrating wire sensor is a kind of non-electrical measurement sensor that is widely valued and widely used at home and abroad. It includes a heat-treated vibrating wire detection element, one end is connected with the vibrating wire, and the other end is connected with a sliding rod and is formed by a stress-relieved spring. As the sliding rod is pulled, the spring begins to stretch and causes the tension of the vibrating wire to increase, and the vibration frequency of the steel wire changes accordingly, and the tension is proportional to the elongation of the spring. Therefore, the change of displacement can be realized by measuring the tension of the steel string, that is, the change of the vibration frequency of the steel string. Since the vibrating wire sensor directly outputs the natural vibration frequency signal of the vibrating wire, it has the characteristics of strong anti-interference ability, little influence by electrical parameters, little zero drift, little influence by temperature, stable and reliable performance, vibration resistance, long life and so on.

Precautions for vibrating wire displacement sensor (crack meter)

 
●The instrument should work within the rated measurement range.
 
●When installing the instrument cable, try to keep the cable away from electrical interference such as engine, transformer, spot welding machine, power cable, motor engine and so on. The cables must never be buried or transmitted together with the AC power lines! Otherwise, the cables will sense electrical interference signals of other frequencies, which will cause trouble for the instrument to obtain stable readings.
 
●When connecting long cables according to the needs of the site, pay attention to the reliable waterproof sealing at the joints.
 
●Be careful in handling and installation of the instrument, and avoid violent vibration. Avoid any mechanical damage or deformation of the instrument or parts, and focus on protecting the sensor, measuring rod and its connection port from damage and deformation
 
●The lead cable of the instrument can reach 1000 meters (sold separately). The user does not specify when ordering, and the wiring is 2 meters long before leaving the factory.
 
● When the instrument has not been used for more than 12 months, it should be re-calibrated before use.
